What is a containerized DAF?
ClearFox® containerized DAF (dissolved air flotation) is particularly suitable for wastewater from industries, factories and production processes. It is already used in numerous industrial sectors, such as the oil and gas industry, the textile industry, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, PET recycling and municipal wastewater treatment. The new DAF plant has a very robust and space-saving design. It can be used as part of a multi process wastewater treatment system, or as a stand-alone unit. The ClearFox® DAF cleans wastewater from oils, greases, suspended and floating matter. The new design achives market leading removal efficiencies for COD, BOD, TSS and FOGs.
What is a utility model protection?
To protect the development of PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH, the company registered utility model protection No. 20 2021 1001 113. This protects the “device for, in particular airlift-operated dissolved air flotation with a flotation container made of plastic, accommodated in an ISO container”. The advantage of the utility model protection is its speed: after filing, only a few days passed before the DPMA entered the containerized ClearFox® DAF in the register. This means that only PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH is authorized to use, manufacture and market its containerized DAF.
