Jannis Mayer gains valuable experience for his professional future
Jannis Mayer completed a compulsory work experience as an industrial clerk at PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH. Since the Bayreuth-based company specialises in industrial wastewater treatment, among other things, he was able to gain profound insights into the everyday life of an industrial company.
The one-week work experience was divided into three days of office work and two days of production. At the beginning, Jannis Mayer gained insights into the accounting department. He took care of credit card settlements and general filing activities. In the marketing area, he supported the department in creating and publishing social media posts. He also gained insights into the disposition area. He learned how many details have to be taken into account when handling deliveries. In the area of project management, he learned about the individual steps that are important for the realisation of a project.
In production, Jannis Mayer was able to witness how the planned projects are put into practice. He helped with simple, manual work and learned what he had to pay attention to produce a high-quality product.
Since Jannis Mayer is aiming for a career as an office clerk after his school career, the insight into the focus of PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH was an important experience for him. He particularly appreciated the family atmosphere at PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH. He felt at ease in all departments and the good experience strengthened his desire to start a career as an office administrator.
