Wastewater treatment in the food and beverage industry
The food and beverage sector produces a particularly large amount of wastewater. ClearFox® offers outstanding solutions to treat this. Depending on the sector, different components mix into the wastewater, which can be removed by different solutions.
Over the past years, PPU has gained a lot of experience in the food and beverage industry. This ranges from wine production, meat processing plants to snack production.
ClearFox® solutions for the food and beverage sector
One of the most outstanding wastewater treatment solutions is the ClearFox® DAF. This is a dissolved air flotation system that removes up to 99 percent of oils, fats, TSS, COD and BOD5. Depending on the design, it can treat between 1 and 500 m³ of wastewater per hour.

The second proven process is the ClearFox® fixed bed reactor. The aerated FBBR process reliably degrades COD and BOD5. To do this, it uses microorganisms that attach themselves to the fixed-bed material and break down the organic compounds in the wastewater. The resulting secondary sludge is separated from the clear water by a lamella separator.
All ClearFox® solutions suitable for wastewater treatment in the food and beverage industry can be installed in an ISO sea container. These are mobile and modular – so they can be repositioned and expanded as required. All ClearFox® solutions are turnkey systems which, thanks to the plug & play principle, can be installed and put into operation within one working day.
